I love doing little round-ups of all the photos I've taken during the month. It's so nice to look back and remind yourself of the lovely things you've been up to. Especially in months like this. The first word that springs to mind when I think about this summer is, unfortunately, boring, but this shows me how much I've actually done. And it's been a lot, as it goes! Going to Edinburgh twice was obviously a high point, but the rest felt a bit slow and uneventful but I've had some lovely days out with Martin, my best friend and her baby came to visit me, and I started this new blog. Yay :-)
We had a gorgeous day in Folly Farm in West Wales on one of the warmest days of the summer. It's somewhere I used to go as a child so I couldn't wait to take Martin. It was easily as good as I remember!
Look at the adorable little meerkat! He followed me round the whole pen and didn't stop posing for the camera. What a sweetie!
And I got to play with a lamb. Score!
We also went to Tenby in West Wales as Martin had never visited there, either. (He is clearly not Welsh, in case you hadn't noticed). I forgot how breathtakingly beautiful Tenby is in summer. You would never think that this was a beach in Wales!
Is there any better way to spend a sunny summers afternoon than playing pitch & putt golf under a viaduct, eating peanut butter ice cream and strolling through a lovely forest by the sea? (No, is the answer).
This highly unflattering picture of both Martin and I was taken during the best wedding ever. Martin was an usher and we went all the way to Scotland to celebrate. And it was Disney themed. How amazing is that?!
It's always beer time during the Fringe!
Martin, his mother and I enjoyed a little walk down this cute little canal in Edinburgh before we got our nails done (not Martin, obviously) for her wedding the following day. My first ever gelish nails, how have I gone this long without having my nails done?!
Martin's mum and her new husband on their wedding day in the most gorgeous hotel I've ever been to. It was such a beautiful day and I'm grateful to have been part of it. :-)
You can see my post about my my trip to Edinburgh here.
We rounded off our month with a little trip to Oxford to explore a new city and satisfy my burning need for travel. A desire that has intensified since getting back into blogging thanks to all the amazing travel blogs I'm reading. God help me.
And of course, a peacock thrown in for good measure.
And now roll on September for the beginning of Autumn (YAY I LOVE AUTUMN) and lots more fun times. Apart from going back to uni, which is not that fun at all.
