So much for my spending ban... I know you girls feel me.
I feel like I have two states of being at the moment - in pyjamas, drinking tea and "doing uni work" (AKA stalking twitter and instagram) or spending money (AKA filling my room with stuff I don't need and haemorrhaging money). Life, man. LIFE.
At least I get to share some of the lovely things I bought with you. Totes worth it. Also my face & nails are hella on fleek with all my new purchases. I was actually lucky enough to get nearly everything I bought on a 3 for 2 offer apart form the brushes and the lipstick.
It's like they know how to taunt and tempt me. And it works.
My first, and definitely most needed, purchase was from Seventeen at Boots. Since going cruelty free I have been looking for my perfect concealer and hadn't quite found it yet but I am loving Stay Time Concealer so far! Most conearlers have covered up blemishers successfully but as a persistent insomniac I suffer from pretty dark circles under my eyes and this does a pretty good job!
I've also been looking for a great cruelty free mascara which, unfortunately, is really not that easy to come by (SO open to suggestions - let me know your faves!). I remember my Mam used to use this Seventeen Falsifeye HD macscara and I am a bit of a make up magpie (Soz, friends) and used to occasionally "borrow it". It's easily as good as I remember and gives beautiful, long, separated lashes.
As part of the Boots 3 for 2 offer it would have been silly not to scoop up another little something nice. I've been wanting a darker lip liner for quite some time now, and I was instantly drawn to Sleek Eau La La Liner in Venom. The picture doesn't quite do the shade justice - it's a rich, berry shade, is soft and creamy and very pigmented, doesn't bleed and is just very pretty. It does feel a bit drying when applied to lips but it isn't at all - you can't even feel that you're wearing it and it is super long-wearing which is great 'cause I'm a lazy bugger who hates reapplying anything!
As a new employee of Models Own (YAY!!) I thought it would be... Sensible and practical to buy some new nail varnishes! Can't work in a nail varnish shop without fancy nails, can you?! I went for a Chrome Colour in Copper (bitches love copper), a Hypergel shade in Twilight, and a Crytal Pink GlitterGel. I'm working on a post dedicated to all my favourite Models Own shades and ranges so keep your eyes peeled!
This may not be as exciting as the rest of my little haul but IT SMELLS SO GOOD, GUYS! As much as I'm all for autumn smells and stuff, sometimes, in the midst of all the drizzle and biting winds sometimes smelling like summer is just needed. OKAY?? Original Sources is always a winner in my books - it's vegan, cheap and has all the best smells ever. This Pineapple and Coconut Oil scent may be my new favourite.
Of course, I'm saving the best 'til last. How STUNNING are these bad boys? The Real Techniques Bold Metals Powder Brush (200) is the fluffiest thing I've ever felt. I literally sit there and fluff it around my face for ages. The Eyeshadow Brush (100) has upped my eyeshadow game big style. It applies the perfect amount of product, is amazing for applying shadow to the crease and blends like a dream. BUY IT.
Now, excuse me while I go and cry into my empty purse and fluff my powder brush into my tears.
